Consigning at Munchkin Kidz Mart is very simple. It can be a bit time-consuming depending on how many items you plan to consign, yet so worth the effort. Consigning at Munchkin Kidz Mart is rewarding. Sure you get a check in the end which will help you and your family, but you also made a difference in many families’ lives who saved money by purchasing your gently-loved clothes, toys, and more. You also raised money for your favorite school, church, or non-profit by selling your children’s books, bedding, and stuffed animals.
Register online. By filling out this very simple form before the consignor registration deadline, you are registered and ready to get started. Registration is free.
Clean out the Closet
If you’re crazy for organization this may be your favorite part. If you’re like me, you might want to spice up this experience with a glass of wine. Either way, it’s time to clean out the closet, garage, shed, or anywhere you store the things that you just can’t donate because they’re too nice or you haven’t wanted to part with because they’re way too cute. Once you know what you would like to consign, make sure it’s all in tip-top shape. Toys should work, clothes should be spotless, puzzles should have all their pieces. You get the idea! Every item should feel good to sell because it’s something you would buy.
A few tagging tips…
- Print your tags. We recommend printing on card stock.
- Watch this video. Understanding the Munchkin Kidz Mart tag only takes two minutes.
- Every part of the tag is intentional. So don’t skip the description, be very detailed.
- The price of your items has to be a minimum of $3. And we only price in 50 cent increments. We have pricing tips to give you an idea of what your items may sell for.
- The placement of the tag on each item is key. So make sure you check out our tagging instructions.
Drop off your children’s clothing, toys, and more during out designated times before the sale. Please allow an hour so we can inspect your clothing to make sure it’s sale-ready and tagged properly. Drop off is really fun because you kind of get a sneak peek of what will be at the sale in case you would like to do some shopping. Find out how to beat the crowd and shop early.
Pick Up or Donate
Pick up anything that didn’t sell from 7:30-8:30 pm on Sunday night. Or you can choose to have them donated to a local charity. In which case, there is no need to pick up, we’ll handle the rest.
Woohoo!!! This is the best part. Two weeks after the sale, we’ll send you a check along with the tags of the items you sold. Consignors make 60% of what is sold. An additional 5% is donated to your favorite church, school, or non-profit and another 5% is donated to the buyer’s favorite church, school, or non-profit.
